I am a London, Ontario doula.
I believe in informed choices,
and supporting your plan.
I am an active birth and postpartum doula from London, Ontario. I am a mother since 2014 to our Rainbow Baby, Andrew. I'm a wife. I love fabric. I love dark coffee, dark beer and red wine. I love dipping my fries in my milkshake, and watching musicals. Preferably, at the same time. I love toasted marshmallows and Harry Potter references.
I began down this path to share my love for all things birthy/pregnancy/baby related. I have been trained by Carol Peat and certified by Babies Naturally. I am driven by empowering partners, and supporting families. I go where you go. This includes hospital or home birth, pregnancy after loss, anticipated loss, and pregnancy terminations. I started birth work in 2015, but believe I've been a doula for much longer. Read more about that, here. I have added programs and services to my portfolio, including Pop-In Postpartum, which I am so grateful for being the success that it is. What does Holding Space mean? To me, Holding Space is being present and creating safety when possible. It's showing up when things are hard, and being a witness to your experiences. We are the lantern, just lighting the way. You are the one taking the steps. To Hold Space is not to rescue or fix. There is no "should." Holding Space is about protecting one's power. It's to encourage someone the opportunity to stretch, to grow, to fail and then be there when they try again. You create your plan, and I help you see it through. There is no judgement in choices. It is encouraging you to do as you feel and bear witness to the moment. |

I can help by providing you and your family private or group based childbirth education, assist with creating your birth plan, preparing for babyhood, infant care tips, provide labour support, breastfeeding/chestfeeding support, referrals, and postpartum care. I believe in nurturing parents, the pregnant person, and empowering the birth partner to be an active support during birth. I believe in supporting all peoples, and am passionate about LGBTQ rights and needs.
